The London Triathlon League ended last week with the final event of the 10-event series being the Jeckyl & Hyde Duathlon.
There were some fantastic individual results for club members, so huge congratulations to:
Euan Lees, who raced 5 times and was M40-44 Champion with 399pts:
Rob Argles raced 8 times and was M45-49 Champion with 397pts.
Riccardo Composto raced 5 times and equalled his 2nd of last year in M30-34 with 390pts, cruelly missing out on 1st place at the last race of the season.
Ruth Purbrook was 1st woman home at Crystal Palace Tri,
Charlie Elliot was 1st overall at London Fields Aquathlon
Euan got a first overall too at Clash Of The Tritons
and Christina Louise Jenkins (CJ) was 2nd overall woman at the Jekyll & Hyde Duathlon.
Great racing guys. There are also team prizes up for grabs, in male, female and mixed categories, so next year we really want to get better representation out at selected races so we can give the other clubs a run (and swim & bike) for their money! These are all very local, well organised but low-key races, and fun to do.
Final huge thanks go to Rob Argles, who has championed the League races in the club, and communicated with us all re the dates and entry details. He has already posted the dates for next year, and is combining his love of Tri with his passion for laminating (this is becoming an epidemic in the Club!) by giving out mini cards with next season’s race dates to anyone who comes near him.
