‘Building Endurance on the Bike’ series

Saturday Club Rides to become an Endurance Building Series
There has been such a positive reaction to the Endurance Building Ride idea that we’ve decide to make all Saturday morning Club Rides part of the Series.
Each weeks rides will follow the same route with ride leaders available for groups of varying speeds and experience.
In case you have missed previous Facebook posts or Newsletter mentions… the initiative has been set-up for people wanting to build from a low base either for Mallorca Training camp, or returning from injury or a training break. Though this is still the priority it seems a lot of experienced cyclists are also looking for a progressively longer series of rides over the spring; so that’s what we are now offering.
If you are new to the club and can cover 4 laps of Richmond Park in 1 hour and 45 you are strong enough to join one of the groups.
The series started last weekend with a 65k to Virginia Water and will continue on 17th Feb with an 80k ride to Windsor. There will be another 8 or 9 rides building in distance and hillyness. There is no planned ride on the 10th as we have a Cross Country race, but if you’re not running its a good opportunity to get down to Richmond Park and time yourself over 4 laps.
Each week we will post the route and details in the newsletter and on Facebook.
When: Next ride is Saturday 17th February
Meet: 8.30am, Colicci Cafe, Roehampton Gate Car Park
Bring: bike, helmet, tool kit, spares inner tubes, nutrition, 2 water bottles, money. All participants need to be riding with shoes which clip into pedals.
Route Map: Windsor + Cinnamon Bun Cafe
