Found triathlon after running my first marathon in London and thinking “what next?” Spent most of my time since collecting bikes and lycra.

First had the idea to join FOT in 2009 but bailed on the idea as I was not a natural triathlete. Finally joined in 2018 and realised that whether you’re targeting a podium at Kona or more concerned with checking the cut off times it really is a club for everyone. To date I’ve done sprint, olympic, signed up for a couple of 70.3s…not sure I like the sound of this progression.

Inspired to try triathlon after witnessing the Brownlees’ 2012 victory in Hyde Park. Spent the last few years racing around the country, reaching goals never thought possible, pushed on by the excellent volunteer coaching.

Ex-rower, terrible runner and tea-stop cyclist. Proof that Ironman doesn’t kill you; prefer races that end in time for lunch though. Will be your cheerleader from the back of the pack, or via the race reports.

Needed some motivation and to make some fast friends, so I joined this club. Enjoy collecting bikes and proud to never want to do an Ironman. Half-distance is far enough for me!
