Last week saw some incredible sporting performances. Chris Froome took the Giro with an incredible 80km solo effort, Fulham Football Club returned to the premier league, England were comprehensively outplayed at Lord’s to be beaten in the first Test (the BBC’s words, not mine), and Ful-on Tri continued to show dominance in not one, not two, but three sports.

First up last week, Tom Scott and Brian Canty ran the Chase the Sun running races in Hyde Park. Tom Scott took on the 10km, posting a new PB and taking the win overall, while Brian Canty ran the 5km. Well done guys!

On Saturday, Euan Lees and James Whetman raced the Hokey Cokey Swim-Run in Cornwall, taking first place.

In an event almost as epic as the Giro, Pete Doubleday, Sam Playfair, James Ellis, Sian Morgan, Marija Lausauskaite, Katie Marsh, Eimear Toomey, Nicola Anderson, Mark Sempers, Sybille Schorm, Martin Bruwer, Jose Lopez, Emma Swinnerton, Claire Wood, Thomas Clarecq, Lucinda Springett, Katie Ferraby, Fran Donnelly, and Tamsin Ede all took on the Tour of Wessex. Well done all for completing the event, and a particular shout out to Marija who came in 2nd woman on both the first and final days of the event!

On Sunday, Ceri Ruzzi raced in a local sprint triathlon. She had a thrilling sprint finish against her brother, which she won by 1/10 of a second, and managed to take 2nd woman overall. Congratulations Ceri!
