THE COACHING LINE-UP
You too can become a volunteer Ful-on Tri coach. Many members have completed the British Triathlon Federation coaching courses, as well as other accredited training. We also have a team of physiotherapists, yoga/Pilates instructors and personal trainers, who all support our London club by leading core conditioning training sessions. If you are interested in joining the team or have any questions about coaching at Ful-on Tri, please get in touch.

All distances including Hawaii Ironman 2006. Represented GB at various World and European Age Group Champs, with medals in aquathlon (Honolulu 2005) and standard distance triathlon (Lisbon 2008).

Has raced sprint to Ironman and everything in between, plus ultra-marathons and 24-hour mountain bike races. Lost count long ago, but 400+ finishes and wins in half a dozen sports. No longer getting faster, but still love racing!

When I started triathlon I was coached privately by the former Ukrainian Olympic athlete Vladimir Polikarpenko. I joined Ful-On Tri in 2015 and in 2017 I qualified for the ITU long distance world championships and the ETU middle distance championships.

Sprint, olympic, half Ironman and Ironman, including Kona. Prefers half Iron: it’s a good distance challenge but the training is manageable.

I have now raced more triathlons than I can reliably remember, including multiple top-20 overall Ironman placings.

Sprint, Olympic, duathlon, half Ironman and Ironman. Prefers anything that avoids running fast (or running at all!!)

Other sports: waterskiing (barefoot, slalom, trick, jump, wakeboard & kneeboard), part of the provincial show ski team. Rugby, touch rugby, tennis, soccer, hockey, cricket.

California and UK, all sprint and Olympic. Prefers triathlons that go swim-run-bike.

Started triathlon with a sprint at Dorney Lake. Also raced olympic, middle (3 x Vitruvian), 2 x Alpe d’Huez and completed 2 Ironman (Austria and Copenhagen).

All triathlon distances. Some of my favourite races were 70.3 Mallorca (2012, 2015), 70.3 Hausgesund (2016), Challenge Roth (2012), Ironman Copenhagen (2016), Ironman South Africa (2017).

Former member of the Irish, Ulster & Leinster senior swimming squads; international swimming medallist; Irish (& Ulster) senior national long & SC swimming champion & record holder; past Captain of Trojan SC, Dublin. Glenalbyn SC, Dublin, and Riversdale Otters SC, Co. Tyrone. Main event 200m Fly (PB 2:05:04); 1500m freestyle (PBs 17:15 (pool); 18:17 (open water)).

Junior international rower, Henley and Head of the River winner. Many triathlons, mostly sprint. Now cycles, races track, road, crits and TTs, from 10 miles to 24 hour and non-stop LEJOG team relay!

Sprint, Olympic, 70.3, duathlon, many many road and MTB races, World Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships and World Cups.

Notable and/or fun events include Escape from Alcatraz, OtillO Isles of Scilly, RedBull Neptune Steps, Ironman Regensberg, Ironman Austria, Cape Argus ’97 and Ride London 2013

Raced Castle series (Hever Castle), Windsor, Eton sprints, Mallorca 70.3, Boskman middle distance, Alpe d’Huez, Ironman Copenhagen and bronze AWA athlete in 2016.

I’ve done a few sprints and did my first two Olympic distance races last year.

All triathlon distances from sprint to Ironman, Alpe d’Huez Triathlon, KONA!!!

Sprint to Ironman distance. Prefers Ironman!

From supersprint to half-Ironman and many other multi-sport events.

Highlights so far: New Forest Half, Dart 10km, Haute Route & coastal runs.

Raced all distances up to Ironman. Prefer to go slower and eat more at middle and long distance. Also enjoy marathons and sportives.

Too many to list, but most notable and enjoyable events include the Helvelyn Triathlon and Ironman Austria. Most notable none-Tri is the 14km Bridge-to-Bridge Swim.

Sprint, Olympic, middle, Ironman distances and some of the weird ones in between. Favourites are Tristar 111 (bring it back), middle distance and aqua-bike. Have raced GB age group for both sprint and long course.

Started with Blenheim Super Sprint and built up from there to 70.3 – all completed at a fairly pedestrian pace compared to many. Prefers post-race celebrations and mid-ride coffee stops (though not during a race!)
