Happy new year all! Wishing you a wonderful, peaceful, healthy and triful year! Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
Talking of which Rob “The Laminator” Argles was taking part in a charity sea swim on Christmas day – he even posted a photo of him in his speedos post swim. Lovely. Well done buddy.
NYD was busy racing-wise. You people might need to reconsider your friendship group 😉 ! At the Knacker Cracker (an off road race on Box Hill), Jane Osborne, Sybille Schorm and Mark Sempers were representing the club – hope all went well.
Close to home, Matt Hughes ran a marathon today … but with a twist: 50 odd laps of Great Ormond Street Hospital! He was supporting a friend’s marathon attempt, all in support of charity – hope you didn’t rock up with a hangover! Congrats!
Further north, Jonny Williams did the Great Ayton Fell Run. Looked steep! High 5!
Plenty of double whammy’s on the Parkrun front today: Rob The Laminator Argles, Martin Bruwer Suzie Rylatt, Lorraine Kelsey … well done all. That’s a lot of running for the first few hours of the year.
I know your new year’s resolution involves something sporty so come training and achieve those goals. Together, we can! Looking forward to seeing you.
Bonne année x
